The artful world of Falguni Shane Peacock

Jaw-dropping. Awe-inspiring. These words don’t begin to explain the feeling of watching the Falguni Shane Peacock show. Set in the hub of New York Fashion Week, Spring Studios in Soho, the fashion crowd entered the 6th floor in trails of feathers, mesh suits, and plenty of Bottega earrings.

As the lights slowly darkened and the models began to slink down the runway, a hush fell. The first model entered in glittering gold, the second a futuristic cocktail gown, and the third in a rocker outfit so stunning it’s captivating in motion. As the show carried on, it became obvious that the collection portrayed balance. With Law Roach —who’s famously styled Zendaya, Celine Dion, and Anna Taylor-Joy — as the image architect of the collection we witnessed a very fresh look for the brand.

The combination of Roach’s style with Peacock’s elegant and detailed designs made every look a show-stopper. The mix of feathers, sequins, baseball caps, and oversized sweatshirts took center stage at the show and made it difficult to not be immediately drawn in. This combination of glamour and grunge was masterminded by Roach, who is receiving a round of applause from New Yorkers for bringing the luxurious Indian brand into the States.
